The sun is out, the parks are calling, and Downtown’s festival season is officially underway, bringing the live music, incredible food, cultural celebrations, and good company that make this city such a special place to call home.

Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of festival season in #DTFW!

 

Michiana Wine Festival

April 25 ┃ Headwaters Park

The Michiana Wine Festival is back for its 10th year—officially popping off the festival season in #DTFW. At this 21+ festival, you can sample the finest regional wines, grab a bite at a handful of local food trucks, browse a spring craft market, and sway to live music. BONUS: The first 2,000 attendees get a commemorative wine glass!

Eco Fest

May 17 ┃ Headwaters Park

Eco Fest is celebrating its seventh year with a stacked lineup of sustainability-focused vendors, musical acts, food trucks, kids’ activities, demos and education from area nonprofits, and other Earth-friendly entertainment. Attendance is free and all ages are welcome.

Tacos, Tequila & Margarita Fest

May 30 ┃ Headwaters Park

Frozen or on the rocks? Choose your own adventure at the 10th annual Tacos, Tequila and Margarita Fest, returning to Headwaters with another celebration of Mexican fare and agave spirits. Enjoy tacos from over ten regional taquerías and a special selection of tequila, plus live music and entertainment.

DTFW Summer Series

Ongoing, Summer 2026 ┃ Downtown Fort Wayne

It’s not technically a festival, but the new DTFW Summer Series is bound to be a summer staple, so it’s worth a mention. The series brings back the beloved Lunch on the Square for its 18th season—live entertainment, rotating food trucks, beautiful Freimann Square—plus two exciting new additions: Movie Night, an outdoor 80s-themed film experience in partnership with Fort Wayne Cinema Center, and Night Market, a street market featuring local makers, food, and entertainment in partnership with Hop River Brewing Company.

ArabFest

June 6-7 ┃ Headwaters Park

Celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Fort Wayne’s Arab community at ArabFest. Indulge in incredible Middle Eastern cuisine, enjoy cultural music and dancing, and bring the kids along for crafts, stories, and more. Admission and entertainment are free, but you’ll want to bring your wallet and your appetite.

Fort Wayne GermanFest & FamilienFest

June 11-14 ┃ Headwaters Park

Essen, trinken, und gemütlichkeit—eating, drinking, and a really good time. That’s GermanFest in a nutshell, and Fort Wayne’s beloved four-day celebration of German culture, food, beer, and entertainment is back for another legendary run. Families will want to carve out time for FamilienFest, the kid-friendly Saturday edition that’s free and full of fun for all ages.

BBQ RibFest

June 18-21 ┃ Headwaters Park

Fort Wayne’s famous RibFest is entering its 29th season with another fun-filled, finger-licking festival fitting for any Father’s Day celebration. In addition to hosting the nation’s top ribmasters, RibFest boasts a musical lineup full of rock and blues legends. Bonus: dads get in for free on Father’s Day.

GreekFest

June 25-28 ┃ Headwaters Park

Experience true Greek philoxenia (hospitality) at the annual Greek Festival. Celebrate the community’s Greek heritage with a full spread of sweet and savory Greek fare, and lots of live performances, music and, of course, dancing.

Jazzworks! with Ty Causey

July 4 ┃ Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory

Enjoy a summer’s eve with the Botanical Conservatory’s annual Jazzworks outdoor concert.There’s no better seat in the house for the City’s Fourth of July fireworks than the Botanical Conservatory. Grab your lawn chair, soak in the sounds of the iconic Ty Causey, and watch the sky light up over Downtown.

heArt in the Park

July 11-12 ┃ Freimann Square

Fort Wayne heART of the City, a local artist-led collective, is continuing the community tradition of Art in the Park (originally part of the once-beloved Three Rivers Festival) for the second year in a row. HeART in the Park creates a space for local artists to showcase their work, connect with each other, and engage with the community in the beautiful setting of Freimann Square.

FWMoA’s Chalk Walk

July 11-12 ┃ Main Street (Outside the FWMoA)

The Fort Wayne Museum of Art Chalk Walk has been a trademark event (once part of the Three Rivers Festival) since 2000. The event is based on an Italian tradition of street painting that dates to the 16th century, known as i madonnari (street painters). Using pastels, artists reproduce existing artworks or create their own in their designated street square. It’s a spectacular event for all ages!

Fort Wayne Pride Festival

July 24-25 ┃ Headwaters Park

Fort Wayne Pride is the largest regional celebration of the LGBTQ community, and includes live entertainment, a vendor market, nonprofit resource fair, food, a beer tent, trivia, a march, and more! All supporters are welcome.

Fort Wayne Dragon Boat Races

July 31-August 1 ┃ Promenade Park

Dragon boat racing is a traditional water sport that originated in China over 2,000 years ago. The Fort Wayne Dragon Boat Races brings the tradition alive along the St. Marys River. Teams of 20 paddlers race 300 meters in an electrifying display of teamwork and speed. Whether you’re competing or cheering from the riverbank, the Dragon Boat Races are always a blast—even if you’re not racing, there are on-shore games and kids activities for spectators.

Fiesta Fort Wayne

Open Streets

August 16 ┃ Calhoun Street Corridor

Open Streets Fort Wayne returns on August 16, transforming Calhoun Street, all the way from Pontiac Street to The Landing, into a pedestrian playground. Expect over 115 interactive activities and live music throughout the stretch. Walk it, bike it, roll it—this one is all about providing a safe space for all in the streets!

Taste of the Arts Festival

August 29 ┃ Arts Campus Fort Wayne

Downtown’s premier arts and culture festival returns to the Arts Campus and its surrounding four-block area, for a full day of music, dance, theatre, visual art, kids’ activities, and food. The festival is free and open to all, providing access to art without cost.

Brewed IN the Fort Craft Beer Fest

September 12 ┃ Headwaters Park

Raise a glass to everything local. Brewed IN the Fort is Fort Wayne’s homegrown craft beer festival, spotlighting Indiana breweries, cideries, and meaderies. Sip locally brewed bevvies, while listening to live music and grabbing a bite at one of your favorite food trucks. It’s the perfect send-off to summer.
