Downtown Fort Wayne’s Unsung Heroes Receive Recognition
Five outstanding individuals were recently celebrated and recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the community as part of the Downtown Fort Wayne Unsung Hero Awards.
An Unsung Hero is “One who does great deeds but receives little recognition for them.” Downtown Fort Wayne is privileged to work alongside the following unique individuals in partnership with these organizations:
- Dustin Krause, Fort Wayne Rescue Mission
- Lou Cucinelli, YMCA
- Patrick Stelte, ACPL
- Laura Schneider, USPS
- Tony Lardydell
“As we honor some of these hard-working men and women who are making a difference in our shared community, we take this opportunity to remember that everyone who sacrifices their time, talent and treasure to make Downtown Fort Wayne a better place is a hero who deserves our thanks,” said Downtown Fort Wayne Director of Operations Frank Howard.
The Downtown Unsung Hero Awards were a part of Celebrate Downtown, an annual gathering recognizing the people, places and partnerships that make Downtown Fort Wayne a great place to live, work and play. Celebrate Downtown 2024 was presented by Downtown Fort Wayne and sponsored in partnership with Premier Bank, Barrett McNagny LLP and OUTFRONT Media.
