FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Lunch on the Square, presented by Downtown Fort Wayne, returns for ten weeks this summer for its 17th season in Downtown Fort Wayne. Take a break from the office or bring the family down to enjoy lunch at Freimann Square every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., beginning Thursday, June 5, and continuing through Thursday, August 7. Enjoy a variety of local food trucks and live musical performances during one of Fort Wayne’s favorite lunch and entertainment series.
Lunch Means More, an initiative that gives back to a local nonprofit, returns for its fourth season. Barnes & Thornburg will match 15% of the sales from a weekly featured food provider. The featured vendor will rotate each week and be announced via social media @downtownfortwayne. On Thursday, August 7, Barnes & Thornburg and Downtown Fort Wayne will present a check for the total amount raised during the 10-week series to this year’s selected nonprofit Road to Recovery.
“Road to Recovery is honored to be the recipient of Lunch on the Square’s Lunch Means More program,” said Justin Calloway, Road to Recovery Program Manager. “It truly means a lot to us to feel the support of our community. We are especially thankful to Downtown Fort Wayne and Barnes & Thornburg for giving us this opportunity.”
Road to Recovery provides a safe, sober, and supportive living environment for individuals recovering from addiction. Their mission focuses on fostering personal growth, accountability, and lasting recovery through compassionate care and evidence-based programming.
