It’s officially fall in DTFW—and our 99 blocks are teeming with festivities. Family fun. Night life. Artful performances. Culinary experiences. You name it! 

Whether you’re looking to celebrate the spirit of Halloween or just all things autumnal, there’s something for everyone this October.

Cozy up and start planning your favorite fall activities. Here’s our guide for fall festivities in Downtown Fort Wayne:

Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory’s Pumpkin Patch Display

 

What: This time of year, the Botanical Conservatory transforms into an autumnal paradise with their annual Pumpkin Patch Display. Bring along your friends or family and enjoy sights of fall foliage and seasonal displays—with plenty of photo ops and hands-on activities for the kiddos. BONUS: On October 25, you and your crew can enjoy trick-or-treating in the garden (details here).

Botanical Brew

 

What: Nothing says “fall” like a festive bevvy. Celebrate autumn sipping on your favorite brewed beverage, courtesy of local makers. At Botanical Brew, you can find coffee, tea, beer, wine, cider, mead, and more—plus live performances, food trucks, and artisan vendors. 

 

When: Friday, October 3; 4-9pm

Día de los Muertos at FWMoA

 

What: Celebrate the culture and native Mexican traditions of Dia de los Muertos with this special community exhibit, featuring ofrendas (memorial altars) curated with mementos and common symbolic objects. You can even honor your own loved ones at the Community Altar (learn how). 

 

When: October 04, 2025 – November 16; Regular business hours

YLNI Farmers Market: Outdoor Season

 

What: Savor the flavors of the fall harvest with YLNI’s extended outdoor market. While you’re there, enjoy the crisp autumn air and scope out the market’s unique vendors, offering everything from seasonal produce to arts and crafts. It’s the perfect occasion to debut your favorite sweater, best accompanied by a PSL. IYKYK.

The Dinner Detective True Crime Murder Mystery Dinner Show

 

What: Not a fan of the horrors of Halloween, but still looking for a thrill this season? Consider checking out The Dinner Detective’s immersive murder mystery experience, where you’ll enjoy a multi-course dinner while a mystery unfolds around you. If you’re looking for an even more thematic experience, their November 1 show includes a Halloween costume contest!

 

When: October 4, October 11, and November 1; 6-9pm

Night Train’s Black Lagoon

 

What: Night Train is bringing the Black Lagoon cocktail pop-up back to Fort Wayne for the second year in a row. You can find Black Lagoon’s famous pop-ups all across America, Mexico, and Canada at some of the best bars around. Prepare yourself to enter Night Train’s dungeon of darkness for a ghoulishly good time!

Sidecar’s Nightmare Before Miracle

 

What: Nightmare Before Miracle is back for the fifth year in a row, where you’ll find yourself surrounded by macabre music, the kitschiest Halloween decor, and plenty of petrified patrons. Imbibe in this immersive Halloween-inspired cocktail pop-up created by the good folks at Sidecar!

Hogworks

 

What: For the second year in a row, Hogworks (a Harry-Potter-themed experience) will take over the Electric Works campus with over 70 whimsical vendors—including magical merchants, enchanting entertainment, and nonprofits.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show starring Patricia Quinn

 

What: Experience this cult classic live at The Embassy Theatre—featuring performances by Patricia Quinn (who played Magenta in the original film) and the Fishnet Mafia from Columbus, Ohio. This lively performance is made extra special by opportunities for audience participation and a special VIP meet-and-greet with the cast.

Midnight Metropolis: Fort Wayne Dance Collective’s Annual Halloween Show

 

What: In its 16th season, the Dance Collective’s annual Halloween show, titled Midnight Metropolis, is all about the monsters and creatures that roam the streets at night. With a blend of dance styles and original choreography you won’t see anywhere else, you won’t want to miss this creative performance from our local dance community! 

 

When: October 17, 18, and 19;

2025 Fright Night

 

What: Fright Night has been going strong for 16 seasons—and is easily the biggest local celebration for all things that go bump in the night. Head Downtown as Fright Night takes over the city, with over 30 participating locations and special activities—including the legendary Zombie Walk, costume contest, brain-eating contest, and so much more! 7th Annual Brooks Family Trunk-or-Treat


What: Join the Brooks family (of Brooks BBQ and Chicken) at Electric Works for their famous trunk-or-treat extravaganza! Bring the little ones for candy, and while you’re there, enjoy games, face painting, a scavenger hunt, special performances, and more!


When: October 19; 2-5pm

Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics


What: Candlelight is bringing their multi-sensory musical magic to the First Presbyterian Church Fort Wayne Theater, where you can enjoy an instrumental Halloween-inspired setlist under the gentle glow of candlelight. Enjoy this unique musical experience in one of Fort Wayne’s most beautiful historic churches!


When: October 24; 8:45pm

Le Bosc Fall Pop-up Dinner


What: This one’s for all the fall foodies. Check out Le Bosc’s latest pop-up dinner at Fortezza with a menu full of comforting, seasonal dishes to warm your belly on a chilly October night. For some extra warmth, there’s a wine pairing option for each of Le Bosc’s five courses. Cheers!

Beats & Boos with Tyler Morningstar


What: Stop by The Fairfield for an evening of dancing, costume contests, and music from Tyler Morningstar—where you can dance the night (and your demons) away. Bonus: you could take home prizes and ultimate bragging rights. So come dressed to impress!

The Deck’s Fall Festival


What: Don’t miss The Deck’s Fall Festival, with activities for all ages along the river. Highlights include costume contests, games, live music, a vendors market, bonfires, and some seriously strong seasonal sips (after all, that’s what The Deck is known for).

Riverfront Halloween


What: Bring the whole family to Promenade Park for a free Halloween celebration hosted by Riverfront Fort Wayne, with costume contests, trick-or-treating along Auer Lawn, kids’ crafts, haunted history tours, and a special screening of Hocus Pocus! 


When: October 25; 3-9pm

Midnight at the Masquerade: Murder Mystery Dinner Theater


What: Unravel secrets in real time as professional actors take you through the twists and turns of an immersive murder mystery. Mask up, gather your wits, and bring your appetite for this dinner-and-a-mystery theatrical experience.

Twilight in Concert

Freaky Friday Halloween Dance Party with DJ Double K


What: Get ready for the Halloween dance party of your dreams (or nightmares), with two hours of high-energy beats from DJ Double K—a career DJ who has shared the stage with big names that include Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Luke Bryan, Nelly, and Outkast. Come ready to oogie-boogie!
