FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Downtown Fort Wayne (DTFW) has launched a newly rebuilt DowntownFortWayne.com, offering a refreshed digital resource for connecting people with Downtown Fort Wayne.
The launch comes during an important period of growth for DTFW. On January 1, 2026, the organization began a new 10-year term following its reauthorization and expanded its district to include the Wells Street and Broadway corridors. The new website reflects this next chapter while creating a more useful resource for exploring Downtown.
“Downtown Fort Wayne continues to evolve, and how people connect with it should, too,” said Downtown Fort Wayne Director of Marketing & Communications Preston Wallace. “This new website gives us a stronger platform to share what’s happening, tell the stories of the people and places that make Downtown special, and make it easier for residents, visitors, and businesses to find the resources and information they’re looking for.”
Visitors to the redesigned website can explore Downtown businesses, events and things to do, parking information, public art, and resources from DTFW, with more content and features continuing to be added over time.
Behind the scenes, the site was rebuilt to be significantly more efficient, using fewer files and less data while creating a cleaner platform for future improvements. Its server footprint was reduced from approximately 26 GB to 2 GB, and its hosting includes a 300% renewable energy match.
The new platform also allows DTFW to continue improving the website’s usability, accessibility, and inclusivity over time.
