In 2020, Art This Way transformed the east elevation of this building through a partnership with several local nonprofit organizations and seven local artists. The 2025 installation celebrates music and Fort Wayne’s growing reputation as a “music city,” adding vibrant energy to the Downtown streetscape.

“Music is a universal language that binds neighbors, families, and visitors,” said Artist Brandon Coley. “My mural, Rhythms of Fort Wayne, interprets that shared experience through bold color, kinetic line work, and imagery drawn from the city’s rich musical history.”

Artists were selected through a competitive request-for-proposal (RFP) process hosted on the Art This Way website. Through that application process, five artists were chosen to install their artwork on the wall. The Fort Wayne Public Art Commission approved the project in September.

Funding for this project is provided in part by the City of Fort Wayne Façade Grant Program. Public art projects funded through this program are reviewed and approved by the City’s Public Art Commission. Additional sponsors include Downtown Fort Wayne and Lutheran Health Network.

An official dedication for the murals will be open to the public and will be announced at a later date. For updates and progress photos, follow Art This Way on social media or go to ArtThisWayFW.com.
