Mother’s Day Weekend Downtown

Create new memories during Mother’s Day Weekend Downtown by supporting locally owned boutiques and restaurants, May 13 – May 14, presented by Downtown Fort Wayne.

Enjoy shopping among 48 retailers within the 99-block District and surrounding Broadway, Main Street, and Wells Street Corridors, or dine at one of over 50 food and beverage establishments throughout Downtown Fort Wayne.

On Saturday, May 13, as part of Mother’s Day Weekend Downtown, five vehicles will transport event attendees around Downtown Fort Wayne and the three gateway corridors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Among the vehicles will be a CTN bus providing accessibility to riders, as well as a larger shuttle bus and three trolleys. All five modes of transportation will run one continuous route with 12 strategically located event stops.

During Mother’s Day Weekend Downtown, experience the Fort Wayne in Bloom Window Decorating Contest as businesses decorate their exterior windows to welcome the spring season. Vote online for the People’s Choice Award for your favorite Fort Wayne in Bloom window display. Voting will begin on April 14, and end on May 5. One lucky voter will receive a $50 gift card to a Downtown business of their choice. Window displays will also be juried in two categories: Most Thematic Window and Best Instagrammable Window. Winners will be announced on May 12.
